Hudsons Campus All-Star

Guess who has two thumbs and is the Hudsons Campus All-Star of the month for September.

For the past little while I've been really trying to help out whenever I can. I've been running food to the patrons and clearing/cleaning tables for the servers when I'm not busy checking IDs at the door. Sometimes I even run ice for the bartenders, or help load glasses to get cleaned.

I'm not doing it because I want recognition (although I have to admit, it was nice to get the appreciation), but instead because I hate being idle when the rest of the staff are busting their ass for the customers. It makes me feel good to be able to lend a hand and perhaps lighten their work load.

The interesting thing is that since been helping out like this, I've noticed some other door staff starting to go above and beyond to help the other staff. It's different from the "that's not my job" attitude that is all too common. That is exactly why we are a fantastic team, and why I am proud to work for this company.
